April - Sept and beyond......

At the beginning of 2016 mom's health was great!  April brought a snowball of events that changed everything!  She sneezed and lost half of her eye sight in one eye.  A trip to the Dr. showed she had a blood clot in her eye and they called it a stroke. We started carotid artery tests and sure enough she had blockage. However, she started having heart attack symptoms and ended up in the hospital to get checked out. ( see picture) Her heart checked out strong...but, they discovered a spot on her lung!  So...off to the Pulmonologist! After MANY diagnostic tests...Mom has lung cancer. Stage 1, requiring 5 treatments of radiation. That's where we are now.  Getting ready to get that carotid surgery , that got cancelled due to the cancer discovery.
What a crazy few months!
