Pablo Retires

We couldn't attend Paul's retirement party, so we made him an awesome memory card! We have so many fun memories from years of friendship with Paul Robertson!  He tried to teach Ken and I a second language...Paul is fluent in Spanish ( and a spanish teacher at UHS) and tried helping Ken be bilingual ( heehee). Then he decided he'd teach me French and continue what I learned after 2 years in HS.  Both were unsuccessful! nice try , Paul!
Lemonade was a big part of our hanging out ...it eventually was called "CHade"   Ken and I were given knicknames.....Ken- Zoken  Me- Ela( from the end of PamELA)  Paul is and was a character with a big heart and a a fun personality!  He was  Bestman at our wedding...we saw Star Wars for the first time with him. We were in his wedding and played a million softball games together!  Paul, thanks for the memories and enjoy Retirement!

Tampa Bound....

The hotel where we stayed...it was such a great location...close to the ballpark and the beaches!  We will definitely come back!

The Hotel pool area.  So pretty!

Game 1....entering the Trop!

Us...in a sea of Rays fans!

Inside the dome...watching the Angels take batting practice!  This was our first time at Tropicana Field,but...it won't be our last!

Going up the escalator to our seats.  Ken is securely holding on to our "cuban sandwiches".

The view from our seats

Around the batting cage, Albert talks with Victor Rojas and Mark Gubicza

Bobby Wilson, Guby, and Victor watch Pujols hit

The Rays tank

Still hopeful for an Angels win!

There's hardly anyone here, it's so early

Kenny watching batting practice

Wed...day 2- Before the game we drove to St. Pete's beach and checked out the Gulf and beautiful beaches.  This area really reminded us of the SoCal beaches!  It felt like home.

The sand was really white and pretty!

Ken and me sitting at the Paradise Grille having lunch.

The view behind us

Our view while eating

So excited they have clam strips!  They are my favorite!!!! Takes me back to the Splash Cafe, in Pismo!

Game 2..... back at the Trop!

again...batting practice- Scosh, Guby, Victor, Butch ...all watching

Albert watches Aybar hitting

That's where our seats are!  They were great and cheap!

Ken and I looking forward to game 2 and hopefully a win!

The tank was so cool!

Tropicana Field is known for their signature sandwich- the Cuban....and it was de-lish!

Just me and Joe hanging out!
The trip was fun on several  levels...however, the Angels lost both games and are playing so badly...the "baseball part" of the trip was really disappointing! We'll get 'em next time!
